It was a walk full of teachings, a space to get closer to nature, breathe fresh air and completely disconnect from daily worries. It was a real pleasure to share with all of you. At the end of the day, the tiredness and the cold didn't even matter, next to the emotion of having achieved a tremendous feat.
A few years ago I saw on the news how a forest fire destroyed thousands of frailejones and at the time I didn't see any importance, because I was a girl and didn't understand such magnitude... That day, witnessing that plant and seeing it radiant gave me life, Knowing that she rises again and becomes her again gives me the security that we can be the same, we can fall a thousand times like we did that day, but we must get up and get stronger.

The walk was a very liberating and reflective space, cold, full of incredible landscapes and hundreds of frailejones of all possible sizes. Wet terrain, plants with small thorns pricking our clothes all along the way, patience and serenity were key to crossing each path that, whether clear or not, we had to travel to reach our destination... the small house full of stories.
